Books of art by Isaac Salazar

Book of art is a series of books whose pages have been folded in such a way as to create a series of 3D words. At first glance, the careful, intricate folds appear laser cut, but at closer inspection it is apparent that the artist has, in fact, folded and manually cut individual pages to beautiful effect. The ease to which one can make the mistake is a testament to the level of detail in each of the book sculptures. Isaac Salazar, an untrained self-taught artist, was initially inspired by the so-called Reader's Digest Christmas TreesThe sculptures can take him anywhere from a day to 2 weeks to finish.
