Kinetica Art fair 2010

Today I went to Kinetica art fair which was absolutly amazing.
Kinetica Art Fair is produced by Kinetica Museum and is the first of its kind in the UK. It brings together galleries, art organisations and curatorial groups from around the world who focus on universal concepts and evolutionary processes though the convergence of kinetic, electronic, robotic, sound, light, time-based and multi-disciplinary new media art, science and technology.

Can't wait for Kinetica 2011 which will explore the evolution of the human body, brain, mind and consciousness.

Bodies in urban space

Choreographer, Willi Dorner, brought together a group of artists in New York to participate in his performance piece, Bodies in Urban Space. The artists go around to different parts of Manhattan to confine themselves together into architecturally specific shapes, conveying the idea of the restrictions we face physically, emotionally, and spiritually living in such a structure dominant space.

"O" is for ORIGAMI

Its amazing what it can be fold from one sheet of paper. Some people are shockingly good at it. You might think that following instruction must be easy but its not even a folding paper properly can turn out as a big problem. All you need for origami is a paper lots and lots of patience and be very precise at folding! First I had a lots of goes on folding a rose but i
t always ended up as a snowball. Anyway i didn't give up and folded a lotus flower. It came out quite nice ;o).

Clipper packaging

I am a big fun of Clipper packaging. For the first time in nearly a decade BIG FISH have re-branded the already brand winning Clipper tea packaging. bright, hand drawn design aim to portray a simple message that Clipper produces unprocessed and natural hot drinks where taste is the key factor...the new packaging succeeded.

BRUNO MARS: NOTHING ON YOU

I really like the way they made this video is very original apparently they made it like this:Here's How We Did It: We shot the video on a white sound stage. I edited it on Final Cut Pro. Then we printed out over 3,000 frames onto paper. Then every frame was hand torn by a team of 8 people. From there we animated the frames, photographing each frame with a digital camera, and then imported it back into Final Cut Pro. The backgrounds are also paper collages we took digital stills of and keyed in after animation. It was a process and a half! Enjoy.

Stop motion workshop

This was the best workshop I have done at LCC. I have enjoyed it so much that I spent days thinking about it. I have seen that mini movie million times and still it makes me laugh. I could play with the programme for hours. It takes lots of patience and time to make it but I have that patience for it.
