"I LOVE IT WHEN YOU ASK ACTORS, 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW?' AND THEY SAY, 'I AM BETWEEN ROLES.' TO BE LIVING 'LIFE BETWEEN ROLES,' THAT IS MY FAVORITE."

TES ONE

After talking to Ben at school I checked an artist called TESONE (Leon Bedore) and absolutely fell in love with his work.

The 32-year- old, known for his over sized artworks painted on wood box prames, incorporates a fusion of graffiti-style murals and graphic design in his piece. The Tampa artist was born and raised in St. Petersburg. A son of artist - who shared coloring books with his mom and kid - he graduated from Gibbs High in 1996. Although he was part of the school notable Pinellas County Centre for Arts program, he considers himself self-thought.

He started painting graffiti around Tampa bay in 1992, and like most illegal painters, he used spray paint. His technique has evolved, and these days his work have moved from train tracks and abandoned corners of the Sunshine state into galleries and, at least while his portrait of Barack Obama (done for the campain's Manifest Hope show) is on loan to the White House. His work has always dealt with environmental issues, but this is his first foray into politics.

Morning fun with Kellogg's

In my work as a nanny I look after a boy called Tom (4yrs) and Maddie (12yrs). They are both off school this week for holidays. This morning Tom asked me to draw him a fly so he could annoy his sister. I noticed earlier that he finished a box of cereal. I started to draw a fly inside of the box but changed my mind and made him a quick 3D fly then later added a snail. Tom was very pleased but Maddie wasn't amused as her brother was buzzing around her head all day long Ha Ha Ha.

Process Workshop

This session was all about looking at and discussing how process of collage can generate ideas for projects as well as produce interesting images that communicated in unusual and surprising ways.
We were asked to make a collage in 10 mins on a chosen theme out of 10. We discussed how important is spacing and also how to improve a system for speeding up and making the process of producing a collage more reliant on chance and automation.
I found this workshop very inspiring and motivating for my own work.
