The 32-year- old, known for his over sized artworks painted on wood box prames, incorporates a fusion of graffiti-style murals and graphic design in his piece. The Tampa artist was born and raised in St. Petersburg. A son of artist - who shared coloring books with his mom and kid - he graduated from Gibbs High in 1996. Although he was part of the school notable Pinellas County Centre for Arts program, he considers himself self-thought.
He started painting graffiti around Tampa bay in 1992, and like most illegal painters, he used spray paint. His technique has evolved, and these days his work have moved from train tracks and abandoned corners of the Sunshine state into galleries and, at least while his portrait of Barack Obama (done for the campain's Manifest Hope show) is on loan to the White House. His work has always dealt with environmental issues, but this is his first foray into politics.
